Changing default view in Windows Explorer
Hi Group, Question on the reference circle generated with a detail view. This defaults as a continuous line type. I prefer phantom or hidden and I have been changing it with CHPROP, but on drawing update it reverts back to continuous. Anybody know how to change this default. Changing default column sizes and order in explorer detail view
I can make that folder have "detail view" next time, but I would really prefer to just set something so that all windows show details by default, not large icons. Does anyone know how to do this? Create a layout for one folder, then go to View > Folder Options > View and press the "Like Current Folder" button.

If you're still uncomfortable editing the Registry, I've attached a REG (Registry Import/Export File) with the default settings. Close any open instances of Windows Explorer. Does anyone know how I can change the default view for Explorer from Large Icons to Detail? I know that I can do it after I open a folder and Explorer remembers the next time I open that folder but what I would like it to always open folders in the Detail view. Can't access favorites from menu
In detail view the file name is displayed in last column; also in web page view; impractical imho (?) The columns can be dragged to desired position; however return to default when exiting folder.
